About The Conference
Bereaved individuals never come to a loss as a “blank slate.” Rather, individuals bring their own mental health history (including underlying depression and anxiety), family systems issues, struggles with their own personal illnesses, or their sense of unfinished business to the experience of loss. These factors can significantly affect how people navigate the grief journey, potentially making assessment and intervention significantly more difficult. This workshop promises to develop participants’ basic skills at assessing these potential grief-altering factors while offering evidence-based and clinically proven strategies for navigating loss in light of these complicating factors.

The place I call home...
One of my favorite parts of the Lancaster community is First Fridays in Lancaster City. I enjoy walking the streets of the town in which I grew up and visiting the local art galleries, restaurants, museums and taking in the beautiful architecture. It's is a wonderful example of the history, local arts, and culture found in my home town. Being a part of such a thriving community is exhilarating to me.
