The Charles F. Snyder Funeral homes in Lancaster, PA have been continuously-owned and operated by three generations of the Snyder family.
Family-owned and family-run, the Charles F. Snyder funeral home has helped countless families cope with the loss of loved ones for over 65 years. Starting in 1947 when Charles F. Snyder, Sr. opened his King Street funeral home in downtown Lancaster, three generations of Snyders have served Lancaster County families in their time of loss.
Charles Sr. believed that success for his business would lie in one overarching principle; treat everyone you meet like family. He made sure that every employee commit to and preserve this ideal, a tradition carried on by his son Charles “Chip” Snyder, Jr., the current president of the funeral home, and his grandson Charles “Chad” Snyder III, the general manager.
There is always a licensed funeral director available to speak with you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The place I call home...
From the time my cousin David and I had to be "rescued" from our rowboat as small boys, boating and spending time with friends and family at Lake Clark on the Susquehanna River has been a large part of my life. My family spent many weekends on the middle island until Hurricane Agnes swept everything away in 1972. It's been a long time since I mastered that rowboat, but my family still meets at the river throughout the summer months.
