Barbara Lynn Lassahn, 64

Barbara Lynn Lassahn, 64, passed away at her Lancaster, PA home on Wednesday, January 8, 2026. She shared 37 years of marriage with her husband Steven E. Lassahn.

She was born in Towson, MD, the daughter of the late John H. and Charlotte (Thompson) Hatcher. Barbara graduated from Arlington Baptist School in Baltimore and attended Bluefield University in Bluefield, VA.

Barbara worked as a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed music, playing the piano, organ and cello. She also liked traveling to see new places. Barbara was a very loving person and in return was loved by everyone. She remembered people by the love she had for them.

Barbara and Steven worshipped at Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida / New Life Baptist Church in Lancaster, where she played the keyboard for services.

In addition to her husband Steven, Barbara is survived by her uncle Charles Clark Thompson, husband of Betsy.

A viewing will take place from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jose Huertas officiating on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Road, Timonium, MD 21093, will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11:00 am.
