Richard R. “Dick” McCullough, 91

Richard R. McCullough passed away peacefully at home on November 28, 2025, at 91 years of age. After graduating from LCHS he enlisted and served in the United States Army. After his Army service, Dick spent most of his life as a professional photojournalist, working at the Sandusky Register, the Miami Herald, and the Columbia Newspaper. He was a male cheerleader at LCHS and then got involved in bodybuilding, going on to win the title of Mr. Lancaster. He enjoyed outdoor sports, training and competing in triathlons, and then went on to develop a passion for rock climbing. He passed on his love of outdoor sports to his family including his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Julia McCullough, and his five remaining children: Sharon Hauck (wife of Tim), Rick McCullough, Jim McCullough, Kelly McCullough and Sean McCullough, along with his six grandchildren, Taz, Cutter, Trey, Elisa, Levi and Madeline, and one great-grandchild, Carmen. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Julie McCullough.
A private gathering will be held at the family home, at the convenience of the family.
