Rosanne Hershey Goldman, 86
February 09, 2025
Rosanne Hershey Goldman, 86, of Landis Homes, Lititz, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025. Known for her positive outlook, her unfailing kindness, and her ability to cheer others on, Rosanne was always surrounded by friends, neighbors, and family who appreciated her gentle spirit and her social nature as well as her quick willingness to help!
Born on April 10, 1938 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Abram L and Ethel Nuss Hershey, the middle of three children. Rosanne enjoyed an idyllic upbringing near extended family, often spending weekends at her grandparents’ farm and at their hotel, The Washington House, at the corner of Lime and Locust Streets in Lancaster.
Rosanne met her beloved husband, Arthur H Goldman, after he left the air force and was visiting Lancaster. Against all odds they married after a long distance relationship and shared a life for 41 years. Together they raised two children and helped raise five grandchildren.
Rosanne was a proud 1956 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and maintained friendships with many of her classmates until she was in her 80s. She proudly never missed a class reunion! After high school, Rosanne obtained a nursing certificate in Philadelphia and returned to practice in Lancaster.
In addition to being a wife, mother, and friend, Rosanne was also instrumental in the success of Center Cleaners, in the Lancaster Shopping Center, which she and her late husband purchased from his family and ran for 18 years. She then helped him establish The Lancaster County Counseling Center and ultimately worked in her son’s law practice for a number of years before retiring.
Rosanne was an avid reader and loved organizing trips to theater shows and dinners, traveling with her husband and being out on their boat in Maryland. She had a soft spot for her grand dogs and grand cats but her greatest joy was her grandchildren on whom she was a substantial influence and for whom she was an unfailing cheerleader.
Rosanne is survived by her daughter Jill Goldman and her husband Kelly McWilliams, her son Barry Goldman and his wife Anne Doliner, and her loving grandchildren Matthew McWilliams, Sarah Cerami and her husband Lucas Cerami, Benjamin McWilliams, Samuel Goldman and Jamie Goldman. She is also survived by her brother Abram L Hershey and his wife Linda Hershey. She was preceded in death by her sister, the late Marty Sheetz and her husband, Richard A Sheetz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to The Landis Homes Caring Fund in memory of Rosanne Goldman at 1001 E Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543-9205 Attn: Advancement.

Sorry for your Family’s loss. I worked at the Family Counseling Center for Art and Rosanne. They gave me the opportunity to work with them with no experience in the position they hired me for. I always appreciated and continue to tell my story to others. They both impacted my life.

The photo of Rosanne is so fitting. She was a sweetheart and always made everyone feel special. Her soft features and her smile say it all. We knew her as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. May God grant her peace.
