Jeffrey William Plank, 53
July 5, 1971 - September 28, 2024
Jeffrey passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, in his home in Bird-in-Hand surrounded by immediate family, after a lengthy battle with heart failure.
He was born July 5, 1971, in Dunoon, Argyllshire, Scotland. His father, Larry W. Plank was stationed there on active duty with the Navy.
He is survived by his mother, Eileen Kay (Kommel) Plank, a sister, Tamera Olivieri of Lititz and her husband Christopher, a sister, Melinda Rinier of Lititz and her husband Michael, a nephew, Tyler Olivieri of Austin, TX, a niece, Brianna Olivieri of Savannah, GA, a niece Meagan Ashley Rinier of Burlington, VT and her partner Melissa Naylor, a niece Shannon Arkatin of Strasburg and her husband Greg, a grandnephew, Paul, and two grandnieces Penelope and Piper.
Jeff graduated from Conestoga Valley High School and Brownstown Vo-Tech in 1989. He was on the school wrestling team. He was also a member of Boy Scout Troop 54 of Leola, PA where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He also served as a volunteer at the Hand-in-Hand Fire Company for several years.
Jeff worked at Denlinger Lumber and Carter Lumber. He also worked as a forklift operator at A. Duie Pyle of York for over 10 years.
Jeff was an avid fisherman and liked to hunt when he was able to. He enjoyed roller skating, playing games, and eating out. He was a member of Grace Community Church.
A viewing will take place 3 to 4 pm, followed by the funeral at 4 pm with The Rev. Kyle Fisher officiating on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Bachman Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 7 S. Decatur St, Strasburg, PA 17579. Jeff will be privately interred at Strasburg Cemetery with his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing.
I have many great memories of him from scouting and our times together hunting.
I’m sorry to have lost contact with him and your family over the years due to my military career.
My mother; Diane Wells, also sends her prayers and condolences for your family. She regarded Jeff as one of her “adopted” children.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Jeff was freinds with my son Jeff Martin for years. My son now lives in
Georgia so he will not be able to attend the services but he also sends his sympathy to the family.
