Yau Moua Ya

Yau Moua Ya (Niam KXH Xaiv Ceeb Yaj), of Chatilon Sur Chalaronne (Lyon), France, passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 79. She was the wife of the late Say Tieng Ya of Alencon, France. Born in Ban Thakeng, Laos, she was the daughter of the late Ntsuab Lauj Moua and Mai Lauj.

She believed that she could make a difference by doing what she loved most. Yau loved to sing, and as a regular attendant at church, she was passionate about sharing her love for worshipping the Lord. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading the Bible, and cooking meals for them to all enjoy.

She spent her years with her late husband, Say Tieng Ya, supporting his journey and career as a pastor. Together they navigated the challenges and cherished the memories and friendships they made along the way serving in the ministry. As a pastor's wife, she spent her marriage devoting herself to supporting her husband's career, sharing God's love, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and served as a reminder of all the miracles and blessings God provided for her family. Coming from a big family, she valued the time she had with all of them. Whether it was going out to eat or simply attending church together on Sundays, she cherished it all.

Yau is survived by her 3 sons: Tcho Charles Ya married to Hli of Alencon, Moise Ya married to Stacy of Ephrata, and Mblong Francis Ya married to Vang of Lyon France; her 3 daughters: Aline married to Michel Thor of Lyon, Maly Marie to Lasamy Ly of Alencon, and Sainhiaphone Paule married to George Moua of Auburn, GA. She is also survived by her 30 grandchildren and her 14 great-grandchildren.

She is remembered by her family as a passionate singer, an active member within her church community, and a loving mother and grandmother.

Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, for a 9AM to 11AM service. A burial is to be held after the service at Mohler Church Cemetery in Ephrata. Immediately following the burial, a luncheon will be held at Hmong Alliance Church in Leola.
