Wolfgang H Weber

Wolfgang H. Weber, 95, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. Born in Berlin, Germany, he was the son of the late Herbert and Else Weber.

Wolfgang came to the United States in 1958 and built a wonderful life here with his beloved wife, Johanna, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family.

Wolfgang began his career as a master mechanic for Volkswagen and worked his way up the corporate ladder, eventually becoming the Service and Techniques Manager at Volkswagen of America. His career took him across the United States and around the world. He had a lifelong love of working on cars, fixed appliances, and even built a lawn mower out of Volkswagen and Porsche parts. At home, he was affectionately known as "Mr. Fix-It." He was always willing to lend a hand to others and was known for his patient and kind nature.

He enjoyed traveling, both for work and on family vacations to Florida. He had a great love of soccer and especially enjoyed watching the World Cup, cheering for both Germany and the USA. He never missed one of his children's or grandchildren's events or performances and took great pride in being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Over the years, Wolfgang and Johanna participated in various clubs celebrating their German heritage. They were also active members of the Fulton Theatre and the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra. Wolfgang also served for a time as president of the homeowner's association at Meadow Valley in Ephrata.

In addition to his wife, Johanna, Wolfgang is survived by his daughter, Angela (Richard) Amberik; his grandchildren, Brittany (Matthew) Geiter, Courtney (Max) Eissele, Meghan (Max) Averbach, and Brianna Amberik; and his great-grandchildren, Stella, Ayla, and Leo. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joachim Weber, and his great-grandson, Kai.
