William K. Helman

William K. Helman, 73, of Millersville, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William C. and Margaret (Barbour) Helman. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Roberts) Helman.

Bill worked as a boilermaker for 39 years before retiring in 2012. He believed in hard work and took pride in providing for his family throughout his career.

For more than 38 years, Bill was a faithful member of Creswell/Bethany EC Church. His church was an important part of his life, and he especially enjoyed singing in the church quartet. He also took guitar lessons for two years, simply because he wanted to learn something new and enjoyed music.

In his free time, Bill could often be found on the golf course or planning a trip to Rehoboth Beach, one of his favorite places to relax. Whether at the beach, on the golf course, or at home, he was happiest when spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons, Peter H. Helman, husband of Dr. Tuc To, of Lancaster and Charles B. Helman, husband of Laura Taylor, of Elizabethtown; his grandsons, William T. and Jackson; and his siblings, Doug Helman, John Helman, and Lori McMaster.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Bethany EC Church, 1165 Letort Road, Conestoga, PA, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.

Private interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Bill's memory.
