William R. Diffenbaugh

William R. "Bill" Diffenbaugh, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Penn Medicine - Lancaster General Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Elizabeth C. "Libby" (Younker) Diffenbaugh.

Born in Lancaster in 1937, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Fisher) Diffenbaugh.

Bill was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Happy Pappy's Motorcycle Club. He was also a Civil War buff.

He is survived by his sons, Bill Diffenbaugh (Brenda) and Dave Diffenbaugh (Kim); 5 grandchildren, Alexandria (Mike), Justin (Kayla), Grant (Karlyn), Garrett (Shannon), and Jenna (Dominic); and 7 great grandchildren, Kaden, Declan, Hadley, Rowan, Harper, Fallon and Leo. He was preceded in death by his grandson Shawn.

Bill's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Providence Place for the care they provided for him.

There will be a private graveside funeral service for the family.
