William J. Cook, Sr, 85, passed away at Hamilton Arms on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Born in Urbana, IL, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Kimberlin) Cook.
Bill served in the US Navy as a Radioman Second Class onboard the USS Ranger (CVA-61) during the Vietnam War, and then as police officer with the Manheim Township Police Department for 28 years, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and American Legion Post #34, Lancaster, PA.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Deborah Lettich (Randy), son William Cook, Jr., 3 grandsons, and his companion Joan Spangler. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Davenport.
Private inurnment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
