Wilfred "Bill" L. Bleacher

Wilfred L. "Bill" Bleacher, 87, of St. Anne's Retirement Community, formerly of Millersville passed away Monday, July 20, 2026. Born in Conestoga, PA he was the son of the late Benjamin and Ethel (Minnich) Bleacher. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth A. Bleacher who passed away in 2025.

He worked at various local companies such as Packaging Corp. of America, RCA Corp., Hamilton Watch and PP&L Corp., where he retired after 24 years of service. Wilfred volunteered for the Rawlinsville Fire Company where he served as Fire Chief for 13 years.

Bill proudly served in the US Army with the military police serving during the Korean War whereby he served on the DMZ driving high level dignitaries from other countries.

He is survived by his two sons, Brett Bleacher (Karen) of CA and Shane Bleacher (Dotti) of Willow Street, PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Ann Miller, Jane Glessner, and Dennis Bleacher.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Rd, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Rawlinsville Fire Co., 33 Martic Heights Dr, Holtwood, PA 17532.
