Timothy L. "Tim" Kilby

Timothy L. “Tim” Kilby, 69, of Quarryville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Treva (Lefever) Kilby.

Born in Lancaster in 1957, he was a son of Edmund & the late Mary (Carter) Kilby.

Tim was employed as a road salesman for Advanced Concrete Technologies, Hanover. He and his wife are members of Stumptown Mennonite Church.

When not at work, music was his passion in life! He was proficient in guitar, banjo, upright bass, and dobro. He lent his talents over the years to High Ridge Mountain Boys, Joyful Strings (where he met his wife,) Mason Dixon Express, Stone Mountain, BlueGrace, and most recently Summit Hill Bluegrass.

He also cherished taking outings with his grandchildren and spending time with his favorite cat, Pepper, who did not leave his side until the very end.

Tim is survived by his wife, Treva; their children, Andrew Kilby, Emily Futcher (Jason), Amy Simon (Jeff); 8 grandchildren, Ava and Ally Kilby, Melody, Jacob, and Zeke Futcher, Landon, Luke, and Chloe Simon; his brother, David Kilby; and his brother in law, Mark Lefever. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Logan Simon.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Tim’s life and music on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 10:30a.m. in Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird in Hand, PA 17505. Burial will be held privately for Tim’s family.
