Thumpalil Samuel

Thumpalil Samuel, 81, of Akron, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital. He was born in Thiruvalla India to the late Idieulla and Mariana Samuel.

Thumpalil had grown up and lived in India where he worked in insurance. He immigrated to the United States with his wife Saramma and young son Mat in 1983 and settled in Lancaster.

After retirement he enjoyed gardening, cooking, and raising chickens. These simple joys brought him much happiness throughout his life.

Thumpalil will be remembered by his grandchildren, Sanjay Samuel, Raya Samuel, and Nahla Samuel. He will also be missed by his extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Saramma Samuel, in 2023 and his son Mathew Samuel earlier this year.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA, 17543. A funeral service celebrating Thumpalil's life will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home
