Shirley Elizabeth Leed, 92, of Lititz passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at her home. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Phares Ludwig and Fannie Irene Getz Kofroth. Growing up, she learned the art of pretzel making alongside her parents in P.L. Kofroth Pretzel Bakery located on Main Street in Lititz, which they owned. She later began the role of an administrative receptionist at United Zion Retirement Community. A woman of faith, she volunteered her time in local Sunday Schools and sang in the church choir. Shirley had a deep love for traveling both domestically and foreign. From Hawaii, Panama, driving out West and back to the East Coast she found great joy in her time in new places. She was a veracious reader who could always been found invested in a new novel. Her family and friends were always her top focus, dedicating her life to those who surrounded her.
Surviving are three children, Jay husband of Julia "Julie" Leed, Ray husband of Susan Leed, Kay wife of Douglas Cassel, seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jullian, Joseph, Jason, Jessica, Jordan, Chad as well as six great grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Brayden, Lucy, Cole, and Leah. Also surviving is a niece, Susan Hackman. Preceding her in passing is a brother, Donald Kofroth and a nephew Donald Kofroth Jr.
