Sharon E. Neal, age 74, passed away on April 14, 2026. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Zartman) Kopp. Sharon was a beloved wife to her husband, Michael Neal, with whom she shared 35 joyful and meaningful years.
An active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Sharon’s rich alto voice filled the sanctuary as a devoted member of the church choir, where her passion for music touched the hearts of many. She found joy in her involvement with the church's Sanctity of Life ministry, offering support to those in need.
Music was a cornerstone of Sharon's life; she was proud to sing with groups such as the Lancaster Chorale and the Lancaster Opera Company. Additionally, her skills and dedication helped with the Lemonade Concert Series at the Highland Presbyterian Church, bringing fine music to the area.
Sharon's academic pursuits led her to earn a bachelor's degree in English from Kutztown University. Her journey as a proofreader began at Science Press and continued with roles at Tapsco and North Market Street Graphics in Lancaster. After years of dedicated work, she embraced the freedom of freelance proofreading, allowing her to continue her passion.
In addition to her devoted husband, Mike of Lititz, Sharon is survived by her siblings: Ray Kopp of Reading and Janice Stauffer (wife of Norman) of New Holland as well as many nieces and nephews.
