Sandra “Sandi” H. Malloy, 61, of East Petersburg passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Phyllis Annette (Smith) Hoover. She was married to Mark William Malloy, her best friend, for nearly 40 years. Sandi was a graduate of Hempfield High School, and she attended Penn State and Millersville Universities. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus for over 30 years, and she was devoted to her Catholic faith.
Sandi was an extraordinarily dedicated wife, mother, and Grammy (Ree). Family was the center of her world, and she warmly welcomed anyone who walked through her front door. She demonstrated her love by cooking her family’s favorite meals, baking her famously fudgy brownies for family gatherings, baking far more Christmas cookies than her family could ever finish, and crafting the perfect peanut butter eggs each Easter season.
Sandi took great pride and joy in the garden that she managed to grow with the help of her husband every spring. She chose each flower with care to the appreciation of her family and neighbors. She loved walking around her garden and watching the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks in her yard through her kitchen window. Inside her home, Sandi enjoyed a roaring fire, a large display of decorations for each season, and a collection of candy jars inspired by her own grandmother. She had a love for watching Hallmark movies, cuddling on the couch with loved ones, and reading to her grandchildren. Sandi had decades of memories from her time visiting Ocean City, NJ, where she loved walking along the shore collecting seashells.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sandi is survived by her six children – Andrew Malloy (Kristin), Katelyn Ford (Daryl), Matthew Malloy (Emily), Erin Kirchner (Greg), Molly Malloy, and Maura Malloy – and her nine grandchildren – Mark, Emily, Annemarie, and David Malloy; Daryl Jr. and Bella Ford; Charlie and Hannah Malloy; and James Kirchner. She also leaves behind her sisters, Deb Elko (Mike) and Kim Elicker (Mark); her mother-in-law, Mary Malloy; her sisters-in-law, Maureen Graver (Jim) and Mary Pat Koller (Tom); her brother-in-law, Tom Malloy (Cathy); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 3-5 p.m. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus, 558 W Walnut Street, Lancaster, PA 17603, with a visitation to begin at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will immediately follow at East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
Flowers are graciously accepted as Sandi loved flowers. Donations in her memory can be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus.
