Samuel G. McCoy

This past week the McCoy family of Millersville, P.A., unexpectedly and tragically lost their beloved son, father and brother Samuel (Sam) McCoy. In the past few years Sam had experienced and overcome a number of difficult life challenges and was dealing with some new difficulties in recent weeks. Sam had expressed confidence these too would be overcome, and was positive about the future knowing he could rely on our family to provide the love, help and support needed to once again overcome, as he had so many times before. Sam was born on November 2nd, 1989, and was for 37 years a lifelong Millersville, P.A. resident. He attended and completed his studies at Eshleman Elementary, Manor Middle School and Penn Manor High School. Sam was the only boy among siblings Jessica, his older sister, and Shannon, the baby of the family. Possessing a natural ability to fix and build just about anything, and a talent for art, Sam was known for being a perfectionist at anything he did, which served him well throughout his life. Sam was almost always the 'go-to' lead employee anywhere he worked, and a doting son to his Mother Ellen and Father, Brian. Sam is survived by his son Charlie McCoy, his father Brian, his older sister Jessica Miller and her husband, Mike Miller, and the Tooth family of Lancaster PA. Sam was preceded in death by his mother Ellen and his sister Shannon.
