Ronald W. Gigl

Ronald “Ron” W. Gigl, 86, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. Following his service, he dedicated over three decades of his life to education, working as a Technical Education teacher at Conestoga Valley Middle School for 33 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Millersville University.

A true outdoorsman, Ron found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He and his wife cherished their winters in Key West and enjoyed traveling to Florida in their RV, as well as boating whenever they could. Ron was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and rarely missed a game. Known affectionately as “Mr. Fix-It,” there wasn’t much he couldn’t repair, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Ron will be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor, bringing laughter to those around him. He also enjoyed coaching wrestling and playing the drums, sharing his passions with others throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his sister, Joyce Felizzi; his stepson, Todd Sargent, husband of Angie, of Lititz; and his step-grandchildren: Ashley Sargent of Florida, and Abigail and Rebecca Sargent of Myerstown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Craig Sargent.

In accordance with Ron’s wishes, a gathering to share memories and laughter will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Landis Communities, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543. Please note “Landis ADS” and “Ron Gigl” in the memo.
