Ronald Reid "Ron" Campbell

Ronald Reid "Ron" Campbell, 88, of Manheim, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Emerald Nursing and Rehabililation Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Morrisdale, Pa, he was the son of the late Robert Reid and Beatrice Walley Campbell. Ron was the loving husband of Diane M. Rhoads Campbell, and they would have observed 60 years of marriage this September. He proudly served his country in the United States Army after graduating from Morrisdale High School. Following his time in the military, he enrolled at Penn State majoring in engineering. He later went on to work as an engineer for Three-Mile Island. Ron was a faithful member of Lakeview Bible Church, Manheim. He was a member of the NRA and frequently enjoyed operating radio control airplanes. He had a love for flying and attending air shows when time allowed. Ron was a member of the Keystone Radio Control Society, based out of Middletown. In his earlier years he was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the great outdoors. Ron also found joy in the little things such as cake, cookies and ice cream after enjoying a homecooked meal.

Surviving in addition to wife, Diane, are four children, Allen Reid husband of Anne Campbell, Amelia "Amy" Campbell Weyandt, Melanie wife of Carlos Leon, and Jonathan husband of Emily Campbell. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Ocean, Rain, Skye, David, Isiah and Jeremiah. Preceding him in passing is Harry R. Campbell.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Monday, August31, 2026 at 4:30 PM. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
