Robert R. Yeager, Sr.

Robert R. Yeager, Sr., 79, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Edna (Adams) Yeager. Bob was a proud graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Class of 1964, and honorably served his country as a sergeant in the United States Air Force with Headquarters 436th Air Base Group (MAC) during the Vietnam War.

Bob dedicated his professional life to his family business, Yeager Electric, which he took over from his father and successfully operated for more than 50 years. His beloved wife, Joyce E. (Sprout) Yeager, who passed away in 2022, worked faithfully alongside throughout their years together. Their grandson, William Kehoe III, proudly continues the family’s third generation of service in the business.

A devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bob was an active contributor to his faith community. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Club and served as a co-founder of the Lancaster Catholic High School Carnival.

Bob cherished time spent with his family at their beach house in Lewes, Delaware, where he especially enjoyed being near the water.

He is survived by his loving children: daughter Paula Kehoe, wife of William, of Willow Street; son Robert R. Yeager, Jr., husband of Rosa, of San Bernardino, California; and son Francis “Chuck” Yeager, husband of Denise, of Saint Augustine, Florida. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his sister, Marilyn Eshleman.

In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Yeager.

Private interment will be held at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
