Robert Louis Weiler, 95, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026. Born in the village of Holtwood, he often talked of his love of growing up along the river with his two brothers and friends, spending his days swimming, canoeing, and ice skating. He was the son of the late Henry R. and Anna Mae (Beckstedt) Weiler. He was married 69 years to his beloved wife Gloria Jean (Huber) Weiler until her passing in 2020.

Lou was a graduate of Penn Manor High School and attended York College. He worked as a cost analyst for Armstrong World Industries for 40 years until his retirement. Lou was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Korean war. He loved playing baseball and played for the military and local teams including Smithville and Marticville. He was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. He loved trips to Lake Placid. Lou and Jeanie cherished time with their family - whether vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, enjoying cabin trips to Penn State, taking their grandchildren to Disney World or simply relaxing by their pool.

Everyone that met Lou instantly became a friend. He saw the good in everyone and in life. He was always grateful for his family and friends.

Lou is survived by 2 children: R. Louis Weiler, Jr. (Cindy) and Timothy A. Weiler (Sharon); daughter-in-law Lynne M. Lynch (Pat), 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter Cathy Lou Weiler, son Keith Douglas Weiler, and brothers Henry R. Weiler, Jr. and William V. Weiler.

The family would like to thank Oak Leaf Manor North and Caring Hospice for his time spent there.

A private interment will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
