Robert F. "Bob" Walter

Robert F. "Bob" Walter, 92, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Chester and Armella Flick Walter. Bob was the loving husband of Geraldine M. "Gerry" Walter for 67 years before her passing. He was a faithful member of St. Joe Catholic Church, Lancaster where he was a head usher. He was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. After high school, he worked for Armstrong and later Hamilton Watch, eventually becoming Traffic Manager for Red Rose Transit. In retirement, he stayed active as an avid bowler, enjoying shows at American Music Theater and was a regular at LA Fitness. Bob and his wife Gerry traveled extensively in their time together. Playing cards with the same group of friends they shared over the years and often grabbing breakfast and lunch were some of the simpler outings they would attend just to enjoy the company of others.

Surviving is a son, Robert J. "Bob" Walter and his companion Linda Scott. Preceding him in passing in addition to his parents, and wife Geraldine "Gerry" was a son, Stephen M. "Steve" Walter, as well as four siblings, Richard, Raymond, Chester Walter and Armella Johnson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside services for Bob at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 12:00 noon.
