Robert Louis Farr

Robert "Bob" Farr passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and quiet generosity.

Bob lived life on his own terms. Never one to conform, he embraced his own style and way of doing things. He had a gift for seeing what needed to be done and simply doing it, never waiting to be asked. He had a quick wit and a playful sense of humor, always ready with a clever remark or a joke to bring a smile or lighten the mood.

Bob loved being outdoors, drawing strength from the sun, fresh air, and the ocean. He cherished the laid-back surfer spirit of the Outer Banks and the easy going rhythms of Jamaica. He found deep serenity in the simple act of soaking up the sun, from the first light of morning to the final sliver disappearing beneath the Caribbean horizon. At home, he took great pride in his lawn, dedicating hours to tending it with care and precision.

A big kid at heart, Bob carried his love of play throughout his life. He especially loved baseball and could often be found on a field, whether playing, coaching, or simply enjoying the game. His passion led him to start and run a summer baseball camp, where he welcomed children of all abilities and made sure every child felt included.

Bob devoted much of his life to supporting others. After working for years as a house painter, he found his calling at Merion Elementary School, where he assisted students with disabilities. There, he discovered not just work, but purpose. He made a lasting impact through his patience, compassion, and unwavering belief in every child's potential.

Bob was an involved and loving father and PopPop, always ready to play, laugh, and create lasting memories. He shared a deep and enduring love with his wife and soulmate of 42 years, Susan, building a life rooted in devotion, respect, and companionship.

Above all, Bob will be remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

Bob grew up in Narberth, Pennsylvania, raised his family in Ardmore, and retired to Lancaster to be near his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Susan (Nodeen) Farr; his children Melissa Farr (Jim Groff) and Michael Farr (Courtney); his grandchildren Wesley and Zoey Farr; his sister Beverly Feulner (John), and brothers Tom Farr (Kim) and Doug Farr (Teri); his sister-in-law Janey Nodeen; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Hal and Marge Farr, and his brother-in-law Tom Nodeen.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
