Robert F. Shreiner

Surrounded by his loving family Robert F. Shreiner, fondly known to friends, family, and the racing community as Dr. Bob, left us on April 27, 2026, at the age of 82. A true legend in the world of motorbike racing and repair, Bob’s life was a thrilling ride filled with passion, dedication, and an indomitable spirit that will be celebrated by all who knew him.

From a young age, Bob was captivated by the roar of engines and the rush of adrenaline that came with racing. His expertise in fixing and fabricating motorbikes was legendary, making him a go-to figure in the racing community. As the proud founder of the Dr. Bob Race Team, he helped propel his family legacy, culminating in an impressive 17 professional titles—a record that his four-generation family of racers continues to build on today.

Bob was a devoted husband to Cheryl, with whom he shared over 50 beautiful years until her passing in 2019. Together, they created a loving home filled with joy, laughter, and a shared love for racing. He often found peace in the charming coastal town of Cape May, NJ, staying at Sea Shore Campsites from April through October to soak in the sun and serenity he cherished so much.

An honorable veteran, Bob served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965, proudly stationed on the USS Recovery. His commitment to service and community echoed throughout his life.

Dr. Bob is survived by his children, Randal Shreiner of Atlanta, and Lorie Longabaugh, wife of George of Brownstown; grandchildren: Robby, Sari, Gillian and Preston; and great grandchildren: Kayson and Hadley. He was preceded in passing by his wife Cheryl, their granddaughter Alecia Nicole, a sister, Darla Musser, and his parents, Foster Monroe and Carloda Shreiner.
