Robert C. Bachman “Bob,” 94, of Lititz, passed away on February 9, 2026.
Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Isaac and Eva Bachman. Bob graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953. He dedicated 43 years of his career to Armstrong, where he worked as a Master Mechanic.
In 1957, Bob married the love of his life, Mary Bachman. They shared many wonderful years together until her passing in 2005. Together they enjoyed traveling and were proud to have visited all 50 states.
Bob was a longtime and devoted member of Community United Methodist Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and he had a true talent for woodworking. Over the years, he crafted many beautiful pieces for family and friends and continued his woodworking hobby into his 90s. He also maintained season tickets to the Lancaster Barnstormers. Bob generously gave his time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity on many projects, including one alongside former President Jimmy Carter. Above all, Bob cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his children, Ron Bachman and Susan Clemo, wife of Bill; his grandchildren, Sarah Voran, wife of Ben, and Ryan Clemo, husband of Meghan; and his great-grandchildren, Jane and Mary. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Garry and June.
A service will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Dr., Lancaster, PA 17602, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery after a reception at the church.
