Robert Riddle, 76, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by family. Robert was born on July 21, 1949, to William and Theresa (Leblanc) Riddle in Richmond, Staten Island, New York.
Robert grew up in Piscataway, New Jersey with his brothers Tommy, Johnny, Kenny and Steven. In 1969, during the Vietnam War, Robert Riddle was drafted into the service of the U.S Army. He carried the lessons of discipline and resilience from those years throughout the rest of his life.
Robert returned home to marry his high school sweetheart Eileen (Hughes) Riddle on January 22, 1972. He was a devoted, loving husband and father for 54 years.
Throughout his life, Robert was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic. From managing car dealerships and owning local businesses to his years spent driving long-haul trucks across the country, he was a man who truly enjoyed the rhythm of hard work and the people he met along the way.
Faith was his cornerstone in life. For 45 years, he faithfully served the Local Christian Assembly as a deacon and elder with quiet strength and unwavering integrity. His life was a living testament to his Christian values, which molded him into the beloved man he was.
Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer who he will meet again in Heaven, and is survived by his wife Eileen, son Aaron and his wife Esther, Hannah and her husband Matthew, Elizabeth and her husband Benjamin. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Jonah, Lily and Emrys, his family and a wide circle of friends across the globe.
“Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:23)
Viewing will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Thursday April 9th, 2026. Service will be from 10:00 to 11:00
Following the Service the Committal and Burial will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indian Gap Rd. Annville PA at 1:30
A Special Memorial Service will be held at a later date at The Local Christian Assembly in Ephrata. Details to be announced.
