Rita H. (Rossman) Gerofsky, 78, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday , May 19 ^th , 2009 at Lebanon V.A. Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Max and Berneda (Goldstein) Rossman. Rita was married to Robert I. Gerofsky who passed away August 5 ^th , 1974.

Mrs. Gerofsky was employed as an Insurance Agent with Coleson Insurance Agency in Philadelphia, where she retired. She served her country in the U.S. Navy.  She was a member of Eastern Star and Folksong Society ( Founding Member) both in Philadelphia. Rita was a member of Shaarai Shomayim Temple in Lancaster.

Surviving are her three sons, Michael D, husband of Jane Gerofsky of Philadelphia, Joseph H, husband of Donna Gerofsky of Ephrata, Andrew B, husband of Lauren Gerofsky of Lititz, six grandchildren, Rachel, Max, Bryan, Karen, Robert, Simon, two sisters, Jean Gersenson of Philadelphia and Helen, wife of Harold Dawson of Philadelphia.

A service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel Inc, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, 17543 on Thursday, May 21 ^st , 2009 at 1:30PM. There will be a visitation from 1PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
