Reet Carter

Reet Carter, who turned 100 years old on Memorial Day of 2026, passed away at her daughter’s home in Lancaster, PA on Monday, August 17, 2026.

She was born in Czechoslovakia and raised in Estonia, the daughter of the late Vladimir Pullisaar and Charlotte M. (Jatsa) Pullisaar Peedo. She was the wife of the late Lloyd W. Carter.

Reet was very proud of her U.S. citizenship. She previously lived in New Berlin, WI and worked in fashion retail and volunteered as a docent at Ten Chimneys Historical Mansion in Genesse, WI.

Reet’s family includes her four children, Cora R. Minder of Lancaster, Liisa C. Walsh of Hampton, NH, Lloyd V. Carter, husband of Connie of Dousman, WI, and Mitchell L. Carter, husband of Sharon of Mukwonago, WI, and four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The last of her immediate family, Reet was predeceased by her parents and husband.
