Ramon Tirado

Ramon Tirado, of East Petersburg, passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ramon Tirado and Crecencia Vasquez.

Ramon’s journey began in the warm embrace of Puerto Rico but moved at an early age to New York City, embracing the opportunities that New York City offered. There, he dedicated his life to hard work as a laborer in the construction industry, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his family. 

In search of a different life, Ramon later moved to East Petersburg where he established a loving home. He was married to his beloved wife, Carmen D. Tirado, for 48 wonderful years until her passing in 2008. Together, they created a family and built a legacy of love and kindness. 

Ramon's generous spirit touched everyone he met. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand, share a meal, or offer a kind word. His laughter and warmth brought light to those around him, making him a cherished figure in the lives of many. 

Ramon is survived by his three children: Nilsa Tirado, David Tirado (husband of Elaine) and Omar D. Tirado (husband of Phyllis Wright) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, Carmen and parents, Ramon is preceded in death by his son, Raymond J. Tirado.

A memorial service honoring Ramon’s life will be held on March 21, 2026, at New Creation United Methodist Church, 10 W Farnum St, Lancaster, PA 17603, beginning at 11:30 AM. Ramon will be interred alongside of his beloved wife, Carmen, symbolizing their eternal bond at a time convenient for the family.
