Pauline M. Yost

Pauline M. Yost, 89, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family in Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Yost, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2017.

Born in Littlestown, PA in 1937, she was a daughter of the late Mark F. & Rita P. (Smith) Hare.

Mrs. Yost was a very active member on Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lancaster, where she founded their Bingo program. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary and also volunteered for their Bingo games. She was a member of Guys and Dolls of St. Phillips's Catholic Church, supported Crusaders and St. Joseph Midget Football, and also volunteered at the St. Joseph and LCHS Carnivals.

When not volunteering her time, she prayed the Rosary daily and constructed rosaries for others. She also enjoyed Diamond Dots, puzzles, crocheting, taking care of her plants, and watching Hallmark movies. She especially enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with her family, and attending Stormers baseball games.

She is survived by her children, Tina McComsey (Ron), Mark H. Yost (Julie); daughter in law, Lisa Yost; 6 Grandchildren, Sharon, Jason, Alex, Eric, Noelle, Virginia; and 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clarence N. Yost; and her sister, Louise Poling.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Monday, October 5, 2026 after 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603 where her Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman.
