Patricia M. Smith, age 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, at Susquehanna Rehab and Wellness Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 19, 1940, in Hanover, PA, to Curvin and Treva Baker.
Pat dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as an LPN at Williamsport Hospital. Outside of her work, she found joy in cooking, baking, tending to her flowers, watching the birds, and, most of all, spoiling her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Smith; her three children, Kevin (Mary) Miller of Columbia, PA; Terri (Skip) Seaman of Lexington, NC; and Cindy (Carl) Shafer of Lancaster, PA; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; all of whom she adored. She is also survived by other family members, dear friends, and former colleagues from Williamsport Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother, William "Bill" Baker.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice & Community Care.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the healthcare workers who cared for our mom with kindness and compassion during her final months. Your support and dedication will always be appreciated.
Pat will be remembered for her caring heart, her love for her family, and the many special memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. To send an online condolence, please visit SnyderFuneralHome.com.
