Patricia Ann Landis

Patricia Ann “Pat” Landis, 74, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at her home in Willow Street, Pennsylvania, from congestive heart failure. Her sister, Sue, and her beloved 15-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charlie, were by her side.

Born on October 22, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Pat spent her formative years in g Lancaster and Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, and Clark, New Jersey. She graduated from Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark and later attended Middlesex College in Edison, NJ.

Pat began a long and successful career with Z and H Uniforms at Park City Mall in Lancaster. Over more than 25 years with the company—and later with Life Uniforms following its acquisition—she held increasingly responsible roles and was widely recognized for her outstanding sales achievements. Her dedication and talent earned her numerous accolades, including award trips to Hawaii and the Caribbean.

During her time managing the Z and H store in Center City Philadelphia, Pat became a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. She proudly held season tickets and named her first dog “Mikey” in honor of Hall of Fame infielder Mike Schmidt. Her love for baseball was deeply rooted in cherished memories shared with her father. Together they made memorable trips to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York—moments that reflected their close bond and mutual passion for the game. Their shared enthusiasm extended to an intensive exploration of the Landis family history—an endeavor that underscored Pat’s appreciation for tradition and family connection.

Pat was a loyal and generous friend who brought joy to many through her thoughtful gestures. Although she was the "queen of retail therapy", she was especially known for gifting her home-baked Christmas cookies, especially her springerles. Her cookies were legendary among those lucky enough to receive a tin during the holidays.

In recent years, Pat’s health limited her mobility, but she continued to cherish memories of past travels. Among them, her favorite remained a “trip of a lifetime” to Australia—a destination that held a special place in her heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister Susan “Sue” and brother-in-law Peter of North Bethesda, Maryland; her nephew David of North Bethesda, Maryland; and her godson Michael Armstrong of Dewey Beach, Delaware. Pat also maintained close bonds with dozens of cousins whose friendship she deeply valued throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. “Ted” Landis and Rosalie K. Landis (née DeLany).

Friends will be received by Pat’s family on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10-11AM at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Road, Lancaster, PA, with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, donations in her memory may be made to the Tuition Angels Scholarship Program at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, NJ. The link is https://www.motherseton.org/apps/forms2/?f=55458. Pat hopes these donations will support scholarships for underprivileged students, offering them access to the school that gave her lifelong friendships and countless happy memories. May Patricia’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
