Orlena S. Felpel

Orlena Stauffer Felpel, 83, went to meet her Lord Monday, April 20, 2026 at Luthercare Rehab-to-home Lititz where she was recovering from a fall in late March.

She was a lifelong resident of Lititz, born in Elizabeth Township, Lancaster County. A graduate of Warwick High School, she worked at the Weis Markets in Lititz, Flexsteel in Lancaster, created custom window treatments for Windows, Schemes and Dreams in Penryn, and completed her work as a teller at the Ephrata National Bank branch on Martin Ave., Ephrata.

Her husband John preceded her in death October 27, 2022 and they were avid travelers both internationally and domestically having travelled to 7 European countries, Canada, Israel, Jamaica, 45 of the lower states, Alaska and Hawaii.

Orlena and her husband John were charter members of the Lititz Grace Brethren Church (Grace Church) and she enjoyed singing in the choir, playing in a handbell choir and being involved in WMC women’s ministry in the early years of the church. She also taught children’s Sunday School and was a Deaconess for the church. Orlena was a member of the Lancaster Christian Women’s Club. She enjoyed sewing which led her to make her husband a full suit. She also liked knitting and counted cross stitching.

Orlena was the daughter of the late John Henry and Orlena (Stauffer) Brubaker. She is survived by two children, Michael Felpel, husband of Kathy, Lititz and Susan Buckwalter, wife of Judd, Mount Joy. Six grandchildren: Ian husband of Karis, Madison Sutton wife of Robert, Jacob husband of Moriah, Erin, Isaac, and Silas; 3 great-grandchildren: Ivy, Ezra, and Arlo. Also, two brothers, John Wilbur Brubaker, husband of Jeanne, Manheim and Dr. Paul Brubaker, husband of Sandy, Manheim; and two sisters, Elaine (Brubaker) Noecker wife of Glenn, Bernville and Sharon (Brubaker) Auker, wife of Andy, Ephrata.

Orlena was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Shirley Brubaker, wife of her brother John Wilbur.

A Funeral Service for Orlena will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Grace Church, 501 W. Lincoln Ave., Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Interment at Memory Gardens, Ephrata will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Grace Church at the address above.
