Odel C. “Andy” Anderson, 88, of Lancaster, PA, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Andy shared 67 years of marriage with his wife Chrystine Y. (Rineer) Anderson.
Born in Waukon, IA, he was the son of the late Melvin J. and Ruth E. (Selberg) Anderson. He graduated from Waukon High School and served in the US Air Force during peacetime with the 99th Field Maintenance Squadron (SAC) at Westover Air Force Base.
Andy worked as a mechanic and machine operator on the assembly line at Dana Corporation.
An active member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rothsville since 1958, Andy served as a head usher for several years.
Andy was a good husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his wife Chrystine, Andy’s family includes their daughter, Tracey Whitney, wife of Robert of Lancaster, son David Anderson, married to Mark Bright, of Cumming, GA, twin daughters, Tammy Anderson, wife of Francki DiFrancesco of Gaithersburg, MD, and Terri, wife of Eric Hellman of Alpharetta, GA; four grandchildren, Tyler Whitney, Devin Whitney, Megan Whitney, and Leah Hellman; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Alexander Whitney; and his brother Richard Anderson, husband of Joan of Davenport, IA. Andy was preceded in death by his eight siblings, Linda Villont, Carolyn Linzy, Donald Anderson, Shirley Boleyn, Darlene Hartkmeyer, Gordon Anderson, and Donna Schuler.
Andy’s family will receive guests from 2:30 to 3:00 pm, followed by the memorial service at 3:00 pm with Vicar Philip J. Supeck officiating, on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 36 Church St, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
