Naomi Allgyer Johnson, of Lititz, Pennsylvania, 87 years old, born March 23, 1939, passed away on April 13, 2026, with the peace of God in her heart. She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, all of whom appreciated her authentic care and genuine love for others. She succumbed in her final earthly battle to Glioblastoma, a tumor in the brain, which she accepted as her final fight in life.
Naomi was born Amish, one of eight siblings, on a farm at the foot of the Welsh Mountain in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A country girl in heart, spirit and practice, she was a farmer, a restaurateur, and an entrepreneur, and one who pursued each endeavor with energy, passion, and determination. Above all, she was a mother, a friend, and a host to all who sat at her table and entered her home.
She is survived by two siblings, her husband, Steven Johnson, two children, Wayne Huyard and Darlene Yellak, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Among her greatest joys in life were fun-filled days with four generations of family enjoying each other to the fullest.
She is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and one grandchild.
Naomi was strong and determined, hospitable and generous, thoughtful and kind. She loved to serve others, to cherish others before herself, and to wish the best of all things to all who shared life with her.
She will be remembered in a memorial service at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 4:00pm. A visitation will be held at 3:00pm until the time of service. She will be buried at Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, in a private ceremony on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Memorial contributions in Naomi's name may be made to the Brethren Village Good Samaritan Fund.
