Monica N. Tuininga

Monica N. Tuininga, 89, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Lancaster Nursing & Rehab. Born in South Africa, Monica was the daughter of the late Willem and Cecelia (Botha) Dercksen.

In South Africa, Monica worked as a secretary and receptionist for various doctor's offices. She was very creative and enjoyed designing beautiful floral arrangements. Monica loved animals and enjoyed traveling.

Monica is survived by her daughter, Naomi Beach, of East Petersburg, grandchildren Sune Marais of Roodepoort, South Africa, Celeste Coetzer of Melbourne, Australia, Marnu Swanepoel of Hanoi, Vietnam, Audrey Beach and Wesley Beach of East Petersburg, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Andre Vlok and daughter, Celia Vlok.

Services for Monica will be private.
