Miguel A. Guzman

Miguel A. Guzman, 49, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of Jorge Galvez Guzman and Leonidas Alequin. The love of Miguel’s life was his partner, Irma Goris. The two met as teenagers while working together at McDonald’s in NY, beginning a relationship that became a special and lasting part of his life.

Miguel worked for many years as a caregiver, dedicating his time to caring for the elderly. He also worked as a DJ, sharing his love of music at a variety of events. He especially enjoyed Hispanic music. Miguel was a sharp dresser who took pride in his appearance and always liked to keep things clean and in order. He was a hard worker but above all, his family meant everything to him.

Miguel is survived by his mother, Leonidas Alequin; his aunt who was like a mother to him, Ruth Guzman; his partner, Irma Goris; his daughters, Jayle, Jaryana, Jaryeliz, and Angelica; his granddaughter, Nexielys Mitchell; his brothers, David and Gustavo Guzman; and his sisters, Berenice Guzman and Wendy Alequin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jorge Galvez Guzman; his grandmother, Miguela Guzman; and his brother, David Alequin.

Family and friends will be received for a time of visitation from 9AM to 12PM on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A Funeral Service will begin at 12PM. Burial will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
