Michael D. Sweigart

Michael D. Sweigart, 66, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, in Lancaster, PA.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard Sweigart and Doris Martin Sweigart.

Michael was a Master Brick and Stone Mason, working in the construction field for many years until his retirement.

He loved boating, snorkeling, camping, and treasured going to the beach in the Caribbean. His greatest joys involved being outside as well as spending time with family and friends, always putting a smile on his face. He cherished spending time with his son Daniel, who meant more to him than anything else. He had a passion for helping people.

Michael is survived by his son, Daniel of Lancaster, his siblings Doug Sweigart, Linda married to Dave Read, Mark Sweigart and Jill married to Brian Roland.

Friends may visit with Michael’s family on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10-11AM at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
