Michael G. Doerr, 67, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Jefferson Hospital.
Born in Lancaster, Michael was the son of the late Audrey (Young) Doerr and Gerald S. Doerr. From an early age, he demonstrated a remarkable determination and commitment to excellence. As a youth, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an achievement that reflected the discipline and perseverance that would define his life.
A lifelong learner, Michael pursued higher education with exceptional dedication. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Elizabethtown College, a Master of Business Administration from Philadelphia University, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Widener University School of Law, and a Juris Doctor from the Charles Widger School of Law at Villanova University. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Michael often pursued goals simply because he knew he could achieve them, including obtaining his motorcycle license and successfully passing the Massachusetts Bar Exam.
Michael built a distinguished legal career as an attorney. where he was respected as a highly organized, driven, and accomplished professional. His intellect, work ethic, and business acumen earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
A devoted member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Michael's faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He was deeply devoted to his parents and remained steadfast in his commitment to his church community.
Outside of his professional life, Michael enjoyed a vibrant lifestyle and appreciated the comforts of familiar places and traditions. He especially enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Myrtle Beach, destinations that brought him great happiness over the years. Closer to home, he enjoyed spending time at Capital Grille in King of Prussia and sharing time with friends and colleagues. He valued meaningful relationships and maintained many friendships throughout his life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Columbia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veterans organization of one's choice in gratitude for the freedoms and sacrifices provided by those who have served our nation.
Michael will be remembered for his unwavering faith, remarkable accomplishments, determination, and devotion to those he loved. His legacy of perseverance, professionalism, and commitment to excellence will be cherished by all who knew him.
