Melissa Book Eberly

Melissa Book Eberly, age 47 of Lancaster, passed away on June 4, 2026. Born and raised in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. Book and Paula M. (Falk) Book and the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Eberly.

Melissa graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1997. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Immaculata University, where she graduated in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics. Following her academic achievements, she embarked on a successful career in accounting, holding esteemed positions at Stockton Bates LLC, Smoker and Company LLC, and ultimately, Rottmund, Cheek, Hyle & Co., LLC. Her colleagues admired her not only for her professional acumen but also for her generous spirit as Melissa took great joy in teaching and mentoring those around her, always striving to lift others up.

Above all, Melissa devoted her life to her beloved son, Ryan M. Eberly. Their bond was unbreakable, and the love they shared was the cornerstone of her existence. Holidays were especially meaningful to her, as they were spent in the warmth of family gatherings, creating lasting memories.

In addition to her son Ryan and mother, Paula (companion of Jeffery C. Ressler), Melissa is survived by numerous aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. John Neumann, 601 E. Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, from 9:30am to 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an education endowment that will be set up for her son Ryan at a future date.
