Maryann Galati, 80, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Eastman) and Felix Carpenito. She was the beloved wife of Mauro A. Galati, Jr., with whom she shared more than 65 years of marriage.
Maryann was a devoted member of Hempfield Brethren in Christ Church, where she found joy in teaching Sunday School and in fellowship with her church friends. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided the way she cared for her family and others.
She enjoyed traveling, especially vacations to Hilton Head and cruises with Mauro. Above all, Maryann treasured time spent with her family. Whether gathered for holidays, celebrations, or simple moments together, she valued being surrounded by those she loved most.
In addition to her husband, Mauro, she is survived by her children: Lori Galati (Ronald) of Columbia; Lisa Galati-Thompson (Ernie Speros) of Lancaster; and Anthony Galati (Marie Bolettieri) of Lancaster. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren: Michael, Zachary, Frankie, Renee, Andrew, Gregory, Alexander, Matthew, Brittany, Megan, Alyssa, Ashley, and Anthony, Jr. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Hayden, Hailey, Avaah, Niko, Kelsie, and James.
Maryann is further survived by her siblings: Tommy Swartwood (Rosie) of New York; Daniel Carpenito (Tina) of Maryland; and Mary Mercurio (William) of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Phillipa.
