Mary V. Huber

Mary V. Huber, 78, of Millersville, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 13, 2026.

She was the wife of Richard W. Huber, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage this past December 4th. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late James A. Sr. and Mable C. Deen Haines. She was a 1965 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.

Mary had been a homemaker, and in years past, had worked as pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse at the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic as well as in Boston.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and grew up in the St. Anthony of Padua parish. At both parishes, she had taught CCD classes for over 20 years.

Mary enjoyed crocheting and coloring, but her biggest love in life was spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren and great grandchildrens’ events over the years.

In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by her children: Michelle married to Michael Schlegelmilch of Conestoga, Amy married to Alberto Flores of Millersville, and Craig Huber of Conestoga; her 6 grandchildren: Brittany, Megan, Abigail, Kathleen, Severiano, and Isabel, her 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian L. Huber, and her siblings: Sr. James Margaret and James A. Haines II.

Friends will be greeted by Mary’s family on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 10-11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA 17603 with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Following the Mass, there will be a gathering at the social hall of St. Joseph Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Mary’s memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church at the above address.
