Mary C. (Kiely) Herr

Mary C. (Kiely) Herr, 72, of Lancaster passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert “Mick” Kiely and Jane (Houston) Kiely. She was the wife of Claude Herr, with whom she shared over 35 years of marriage.

She was a 1972 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. Mary worked in the Admissions office at LGH.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Emily Witek, partner of Michael Amendolia of Conshohocken, PA, Matthew Witek, husband of Andressa, Molly Herr both of Lancaster and stepson, Jason Herr of Ephrata, PA. Also surviving are her three grandchildren: Victoria, Beatriz, and Luiza; brothers, Michael Kiely of Cleveland, OH, Tom Kiely husband of Barbara of Newtown Square, PA, Albert Kiely Jr., and Anthony Kiely both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Witek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends will be received from 10:30AM-12:30PM at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to A Woman’s Concern, 1102 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 and to the church at the above address.
