Marie Malark

Marie Malark, 65, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital. She had a long battle with ongoing health issues but always stayed strong and continued to bring joy to those around her during her multi-decade fight. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Mary (Shank) Snyder and the late Paul Watson. She graduated from McCaskey High School and later began her career at Dart Container, where she spent the next 42 years working in various roles and taking on new responsibilities with each title earned. With all her experience, she was the one you knew you could call when something needed to be fixed. Marie thoroughly enjoyed playing Pokémon Go and spent many hours playing with both her family and friends. She was unabashed in her interests and never lost hope, staying true to herself and her sense of humor until her very last day. She had a deep interest in genealogy and was a member of the local historical society for many years. She enjoyed the thrill of a good crime show and often watched Doctor Who as well. Marie loved the company of her family and friends while enjoying a special meal or really any reason to get together with those she loved. She was a quiet, deeply caring, and strong-willed woman who will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Marie did everything she could to support and spend time with her children despite her health. She was deeply generous, non-judgmental, and always there for you no matter what the circumstances.

Surviving her are her husband, Harry; Her three children, Darin, Jesse, and Mary Malark, as well as her grandchildren, Cody and Marissa Malark. Also surviving are her siblings, Paul Watson, Connie Watson, Angela, and Cora Kennedy. She was preceded in passing by a grandchild, Austin Malark, in 2013. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing at Charles F. Snyder, III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street PA 17584, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private in Conestoga Memorial Park.
