Maribel Vega

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Maribel Vega, a devoted mother, cherished friend, and dedicated worker, who left this world on August 20, 2026, at the age of 57. Born in Palomas, Puerto Rico, Maribel embodied the resilience and strength that defined her character throughout her life.

Maribel worked tirelessly for Dart Container for 17 years, alongside her brother. Known for her unwavering work ethic, she often held two jobs to ensure her sons had a bright future. A single mother, she balanced her responsibilities with a lively spirit, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every aspect of her life. Her world revolved around her children, and her love for them was both profound and boundless. 

In addition to her role as a mother, Maribel was a beloved friend to many, treasuring the relationships she built throughout her life. Her friends will remember her warmth, laughter, and the strength she inspired in others. 

Maribel is survived by her sons Alexy Maldonado fiancé of Xochitl, and Uriel Maldonado all of Lancaster, her mother Angelina Quinones, siblings, Ramon Vega Jr. (Sara), Claribel Medina, William Vega, and Luis Vega as well as a circle of friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in passing by her father, Ramon Vega Vasquez, her longtime companion, Jose Maldonado, and a brother, Julio Vega. 

Funeral services will be held on August 27, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., located on Lititz Pike, with a visitation at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:30 AM. A private interment will take place at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery at the family’s convenience.
