Maria Rose Cicioni

Maria Rose Cicioni, 11, of Lancaster, left this earth, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at her home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Neil and Rachel Cicioni. Her family attended church at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Maria recently began 6th grade at New School Montessori. She thoroughly enjoyed learning new things and using that knowledge to fuel her creativity. Making beaded bracelets, baking the perfect recipe, spending time at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and Zenkaikon, allowed her to be her true self and create the best memories while doing so.

Maria could often be found riding horseback, and observing the world all around her. Time at the barn was where she found peace; it was her happy place where she could simply be herself and not have a worry. Her gentle spirit led her to love all animals, even those most did not appreciate. Maria found the beauty in them all. Maria loved deeply, and intensely. Not only for animals, but for her family, and by being an incredibly loyal friend to those she kept close to her. Her passionate way of loving also carried into food. Anything with American cheese was always up for grabs when Maria was feeling hungry. Mac & Cheese, grilled cheese were amongst her favorites.

Her heart was larger than life, finding joy in the little things and always being quick whited with a sharp sense of humor was how her family will remember her.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her older sister, Kathryn M. as well as her maternal grandparents, Gilbert husband of Nancy Goldsmith, paternal grandparents, Stephen husband of Cheryl Cicioni, as well as her aunts, Jennifer wife of William, and Annette wife of Tony. Preceding her in passing is her maternal grandmother, Debra Brauer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster PA 17601, on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 12:00 Noon.
