Margaret S Wible

Margaret Ann Wible, 89, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at Brethren Village in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Born on September 29, 1936, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert Stewart and Adelaide (Troutman) Stewart. She was a graduate of Penn State University where she met her future husband and received a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. Together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2022. They remained loyal Penn State alumni and enjoyed attending reunions and staying connected with friends.

Margaret was a longtime member of Highland Presbyterian Church and volunteered in many capacities. She was a Deacon, served on the hospitality committee and often volunteered as an usher. She was active in P.E.O. Sisterhood and various other community groups. She found joy in gardening, sewing, baking and volunteering and adored the beloved dogs she and her husband raised throughout the years. She was known for her remarkable organization, exceptional memory, and the detailed Christmas letters she wrote each year. 

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Wible; her son, Steven Wible and his wife, Robin; her grandchildren, Rachel Norden and her husband, Nathan, and Matt Wible; a great-grandchild expected to arrive soon; and her sister Roberta Melby wife of the late Bob Melby. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Wible and his wife, Nancy; her sister-in-law, Margaret Swift and her husband, Fred, and many extended family members and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11AM at Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E. Roseville Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 with a reception to follow. The service will be live-streamed Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Highland Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund at www.highlandpc.org or at the address above or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
