Lydia Maria Marshall

Lydia Maria Marshall, 84, of Columbia, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026. Born in Corpus Christi, TX, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Delcarmen (Meza Cordova) Tober. She was the longtime companion of Steve Lepore for 55 years.

Of the Catholic Faith, Lydia was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Lydia was a graduate of 1961 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. After graduating she worked for Hamilton Watch for a time, then as a realtor, secretary at the Lancaster Courthouse, and finished her career at Manheim Auto Auction. Lydia also helped to manage the Pequea Inn with her companion, Steve.

Lydia enjoyed sunbathing, paddle boating, dancing, taking trips to Ocean City, MD, and loved animals, especially her Siamese cats and dog, Cotton. Lydia was a member of the American Business Women's Association Penn Square Chapter for many years and the Pequea Fire Company.

Lydia will be greatly missed by her daughter, Roshella M. "Shelly" Marshall, of Columbia; her companion, Steve Lepore; siblings: Johnny Jones, husband of Bonnie (who was like a sister), Sandra Jones, and Jerry Jones; her great-niece, Delilah, who Lydia adored, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friends, Gerri Armant and Marlene Ruges, who enjoyed attending the Lancaster Concert Series each summer.

Lydia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Albright, who died in 2011, and her brother, Carlos Tabor.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2PM to 3PM, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Memorial Services will follow at 3PM.
