It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Luis Alberto Gonzalez, age 50, of Highspire, Pennsylvania, formerly of Lancaster, who departed this life on April 15, 2026, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center due to natural causes. Born on November 21, 1975, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Luis was the beloved son of Nancy Gonzalez and the late Angel Gonzalez.
Luis was a dedicated handyman, known for his expertise in mechanics and construction. His skills and work ethic left a lasting impact in the communities he served. He is survived by his good friend, Jessenia Suarez of Lancaster, as well as his three cherished children: Sharsys Gonzalez Rivera of Middletown, Netzarith Gonzalez Rivera of Lebanon, and Jadikel Gonzalez Rivera of Ephrata. He is also survived by his former wife, Wanda Rivera.
Family and friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602, on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 9 AM to 11 AM. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery in Lancaster.
Luis will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his craft, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
